Cheerful Monday #34 - Autumn in Purple and Yellow

The new challenge on the Cheerful Stamp Pad is a colour challenge: Yellow and Purple. These two colours also belong to Autumn, purple for the lovely aster and purple for Autumn leaves. I created a little tag
The focal point is an image from one of my garden asters. I layered it on Basic Bazills cardstock, the background is stencilled with distress inks. The finishing touches are some halfpearls, baker's twine and a little stamped word from PaperArtsy.

For wonderful inspiration pop over to Vicki's blog. Hope you can join us for the challenge, Petra.

Cheerful Monday #33 - Shiny Boot

Gosh, I only noticed now that it has been 8 days since my last post! Time just went by with finishing my major cleaning up session and preparing for four visitors from Germany. They have arrived (yippeeehhh) and it is so lovely to have them here (BIG SMILE). So now let me do some catching up on my posts. This is for Vicki's second stencil challenge week using the same stencil from StencilGirl as last week. This stencil is so versatile

I used distress inks and misted the whole tag with Perfect Pearls. The tag is layered with a paper doily and a Sizzix diecut frame coloured with Copics and covered with Glossy Accents.
I stamped the boot (stamp: Get Stamping 4), coloured it with distress inks,
cut it out, added Glossy Accents and some Stickles and added it to the tag with foam pads.
The finishing touches are a fabric flower and some half-pearls.

There are still a couple of days left to join in with the challenge. Petra.

Cheerful Monday #32 - Let's Stencil

Stencils are so wonderful to use in any art project, they are so versatile and can also be used with any colouring medium ... just brilliant. For Vicki's challenge: Let's Stencil I created a card with an inky stencilled background
 a scalloped white cardbase
the card panel stencilled (StencilGirl) with various blue coloured distress inks
and misted with Perfect Pearls while the stencil was still in place after the inking
a lacey heart, a Mulberry flower with some Stickles and a stamped sentiment (Elzybells)

Hope you can join us for the challenge, Petra!

Tag Tuesday - Tattered and Torn

This week's Tag Tuesday theme is: Tattered and Torn which came in very handy as I have a big clean-up of my craft supplies at the moment and I seem to find all these bits and pieces of lost and now found left-overs behind the desk, in some corners ... some are a bit tattered some are torn. I created my tag from pieces I have been gathering over the last weeks... and later I found a few more  (lol)

ripped corrugated paper layered with part of a vintage ledger and some torn cotton lace

an adorable little girl's image (Graphics Fairy) with distressed edges embellished with a 'squashed' vintage fabric button, a little mulberry flower and a stamped sentiment (Lili of the Valley) on torn cotton;

the paper beads are handmade from old tattered musical sheets, attached with a rusty safety pin

Hope you enjoy looking at my tag as much as I loved making it!
have a lovely Sunday, Petra.

Lunagirl - Lady Blue

Lady Blue - the current challenge at Lunagirl Moonbeams. I love a striking blue colour ... and it goes so strikingly with white!
Unfortunately it does not go very wel with my camera ... my apologies for the not so good photo.
To create the card I started with a longish plain white card. I added a dry-embossed white card panel and three images from the Lunagirl Vintage Blue collage sheet which I diecut with Sizzix dies. As embellishments I used some tiny blings and a ribbon.

Hope you can join us for the challenge, it would be lovely to see you and your art! Petra.

Cheerful Monday #31 - Framed Lady

This is the second week of Vicki's tag challenge. For my project I combined two wonderful images from Lunagirl, the lady from the Beautiful Women Vintage Labels collage sheet and the frame from the Victorian Elegance Tags. It looks as if they were made for each other!

I layered them on patterned paper from BoBunny which I decorated with some stamping (stamps: Hamptopn Art and Stampendous) and German Scrap. To finish the tag I added a couple of half-pearls
and a handmade tassel from embroidery thread. It was the first time I made a tassel but it was so easy and great fun.

For more fabulous inspiration and the chance to win some wonderful images from Lunagirl, just pop over to the Cheerful Stamp Pad, hope to see you there! Petra.

Tag Tuesday - Beads Buttons and Bows

The three B's for Tag Tuesday ... three of my favourite items when it comes to crafting.  And I managed to keep it simple, no over the top bit I restraint myself (lol): one dotty button, one lacey bow and one little stary bead
arranged on a recycled cardboard heart painted with London Bus Fresco paint and covered with Glossy Accents.

Thank you for popping in today. And a very warm welcome to new followers, thank you for following my blog! Wishing you all a lovely Sunday, Petra.
